Hey! We haven’t been updating this with news lately, but no one seems to have noticed…
We’re really close to completing the new site! I (Papeh) still have to do a lot of Behind the Scenes customization so we can expand, but I think it’s near ready about now!
Thanks to Paul and Bigd (I think they were the only ones, sorry if not) for working on it
And also, thanks to Bigd and Blood for their work on member badges.

Hayguise!
Tetra here ;D
Just thought I’d let you all know what we have in the pipeline, here at orbmoree!
Okay, so first of all, there’s gonna be an achievement database. Here, you can submit all the achievements, and then you can view them all, easily, and simple
Shortly following the achievements database, there’s gonna be a BRAND new site! No more of this crappy Wordpress, it’s gonna be our own custom one. Eventually, we’ll add more features to it.
So that’s what’s to look forward to. And also, there may be something elseee

Hot on the heels of Brick-a-Brac come two new game modes for FunOrb Pool: Killer mode and 8-Ball Doubles mode.
The first is Killer Pool, an intense take on conventional pool, where the aim is to be the last one standing. Miss a pot and you’ll lose a life; lose all three lives and it’s game over. Up to eight players can vie for the prize in Killer Pool.
8-Ball Doubles is the second new mode, where pool becomes less about solo skills and more about teamwork. Team-up with a friend against two opponents and take it in turns to play.

FunOrb takes a new angle on the classic bat-and-ball game with the release of Brick-a-Brac. Move your bat across the screen and bounce your ball to destroy all of the bricks in each level.
The biggest of those new angles is a multiplayer mode for up to 5 players, in which you race to destroy more bricks than your opponents while sending them a flurry of distracting power-ups - it makes for some manic, fast-paced multiplayer action. There’s also a hotseat multiplayer mode for 2-player battles on the same computer.
It’s not all about multiplayer, though, with 30 fiendish levels of single-player destruction. Can you spot the references to other FunOrb games, then take them apart brick by brick? It shouldn’t take you too long to master the bat and ball, so Brick-a-Brac should also generate some competition on the Highscores tables.
Get ready! Aaaand, go!

There has been plenty of time to rack up lots of Achievements and Orb Coins since FunOrb was launched. Now, there’s something to spend those Orb Coins on! We figured it would make sense to give you all time to earn some Orb Coins and then deliver lots of stuff to purchase with them. Today, we’ve done just that, with the release of Orb Downloads.
Orb Downloads has over 1,000 Orb Coins’ worth of wallpapers, avatar icons and mp3s of FunOrb music, with something related to every game. Don’t worry if you go on a spending spree and aren’t able to afford that extra music track you want, as with every FunOrb game released there’ll be more Achievements and more Orb Coins to earn.
The Orb Downloads system will expand as new games are released, and new types of items will also be added in the future. One example of what might be included are the two ‘Upcoming Game Concept’ wallpapers… In the meantime, we’d love to hear what all you Orbsters think about it in the Website Feedback Forum.
Orb Downloads can be found in the ‘Community’ drop-down menu.
In other news…
We’ve also added a new Community homepage, which you can reach simply by clicking the ‘Community’ tab. You can use this to see your latest Highscores, Achievements, Forum posts and Orb Downloads.

FunOrb’s latest release is the timeless classic that is pool. FunOrb Pool includes the standard eight-ball rules as well as the less common, but no less fun, nine-ball. There’s online multiplayer to challenge your FunOrb friends and hotseat multiplayer to beat your dad. There’s also a single-player time trial mode - pot all the balls as quickly as you can for your place on the Highscores. The optional aiming guides will help to improve your game, which will be handy for earning a brand new set of Achievements.
We’ve searched through time and space to find the coolest locations for your relaxing (or frenetic) games of pool. As well as the classic bar-room table, everyone can also play on our orbalicious plasma table. Members get to play up in mountains on the Aztec table, chill out on the polar table and drift away on the space table.
FunOrb Pool will separate the pool shrimps from the pool sharks. Happy potting!
Sounds like fun! I’m not a big player of this game in real life, but hey, when do I get to do real life pool with Polar bears?
This adds another classic game to FunOrb, alongside chess and TetraLink.
Have fun

FunOrb is under attack! The Norbs are preparing to take out your orbs and it is up to you to hold back the tide, in our latest release, Orb Defence!
Build up defences strong enough to stop the Norbs’ advance. Construct and upgrade the turrets best suited for dealing with the invasion. There are five different types of turret and you’ll need all of them too, as the Norbs come in all kinds of shapes and sizes - fast, tough, flying, explosive, hungry - you name it, the Norbs are throwing it at you. You’ll also need wits and speed to adapt your strategy to each oncoming wave of enemies.
Members will gain access to new maps, new turrets and upgrades, new Norb types, fullscreen mode and get to face off against the infamous Awesomeo, leader of the Norbs. Do you have what it takes to save FunOrb from the Norb invasion?
Do you have what it takes?
The name Norb comes from a player that posted a thread on it in the Funorb forums, named Suox
I have yet to try this game, but I hope you all have fun on it!

Today, Jagex has released FunOrb in its third language: French! Whether you’re fluent in the language or just learning, you can give it a try by clicking on the French flag in the top-right of the FunOrb website.
More languages are planned for the FunOrb website, so keep an eye out for similar announcements in the future.
Funorb in French, sounds interesting
I’m still learning German…but I suggest you all try it out!

Hey everyone! Following some weaknesses, in the WordPress software for the website, we (Tetra Iink and I) have decided to make our own custom PHP website! It’s not going to be done very soon, but in the distant future, a new awesome site may be coming to you
Also, OrbMore activity has been good over the last week and a half (that is how long it has been out) but not as good as it could be! I know many of you are busy, but if you have time, mind telling your friends, and people you know about here? It could be as simple as when they are having trouble with Pixelate, tell them about OrbMore and how we can help, etc.!
However, remember not to advertise ingame- this could get you banned, and we certainly don’t want that
Word of mouth is key!

I don’t know why (still trying to figure it out) but we had certain problems with the site lately. Unfortunately, all of the previous newsposts have been deleted. However, I am working through backing up the main site so this won’t happen again.
I will not go into details of what was the problem to the public yet, but it was…bad…and I will tell you more when I have the source of the problem.
If this script that we use for the main site is inadequate, we may have to simply build an HTML site.
HOWEVER:
On this specific problem, I will assure you that if it happens to the forums, it is the fault of Zetaboards, the company that made the forum software and hosts it. We do not host our own forum, so this specific problem with the forums will come NOT FROM US- and if there are bad problems, we can shut down the link to the forums from our end. Zetaboards does however have good measures to prevent this.
